Never-ending sightlines, nature and traditional masonry

A vast garden with fruit-bearing trees, free-roaming chickens and bees buzzing about. In the center an old swing gently sways, beckoning you to take in the ambience. At its heart towers an old barnyard, painted red, steeped in history, renovated with love and augmented with purpose. Three cozy apartments do not lack for comfort. Sleep, cook and spend time together. A sauna and a spacious atelier plus fireplace, wood stove and study welcome you to unwind and awaken your inner muse. Forests, nature and open spaces are the rule; a place to be and breathe in. Where seasons are on full display and the lunar cycle towers proudly overhead.

Old gnarled beams from the old barn form the heart of Rosso’s foundation, Where hay for livestock was once piled high, safe from wind and weather, guests from near and afar now find shelter from the everyday. When we started, we stood in this cavernous place and asked ourselves what our idea of the perfect holiday lodging was. Cozy and warm, simple, yet comfortable. The contemporary blended with an abundance of tradition. And ample space to drift in thought or simply to take a moment and take it all in. Everything is organic, in balance and steeped in the soothing scent of elemental materials.Our country lodgings lack for nothing. Cozy beds, fully furnished kitchens, high walls, bathtubs, hand-selected farm furniture, heaps of fluffy towels, cuddly daybeds, abundant light—and a spacious balcony for watching the sunset. There is no television and the Internet, like everything else at Rosso, is in no hurry. But no worries, we’ve taken the liberty of laying out some books on your nightstand.

What equipment do the ROSSO rooms have?

All our rooms have bed linen, towels, bathrobes and Primavera shower care. In the kitchens equipped with everything a cook's heart desires, there is olive oil from the Allgäuer Ölmühle and salt & pepper as well as some spices. For coffee lovers we have coffee from our house roaster Purschwarz, a Bialetti for espresso as well as a MoccaMaster for filter coffee. And of course there are books, magazines, selected games and a Bluetooth speaker for you. In addition, we have great kids buggies from Bugaboo here to borrow and you can rent two Gravel E-Bikes from ROSE Bikes.

Does ROSSO offer breakfast or other gastronomic services?

The ROSSO is a pure self-catering house without its own gastronomic services. All our stays have fully equipped kitchens where you can cook and prepare food. By default, all kitchens are equipped with olive oil, salt & pepper, sugar and a few spices from Sonnentor. In our farm store you can buy drinks (local soft drinks, good wines and Allgäu beers), different snacks, cheese, eggs and we also have bread baking mixes and half baked rolls to bake up. In addition, you can book our filled refrigerator which is a super basis for a light lunch or for breakfast. In the immediate vicinity of the ROSSO there are numerous shopping opportunities: Supermarkets, organic food stores and weekly farmers' markets.
